The 32 metres long, 7.2 metres width ship was built in 1956 by the NV Scheepsbouwwerf De Dageraad, v/h Wed. J. Boot in Woubrugge (Netherlands). After having been used as a investigation vessel for the Dutch ministry of fishery it was sold to the Zeekadetkorps IJmuiden in 1976.
Radio station: Offshore Radio Memories organized by Radio Plus (IJmuiden) in August 1992 (a two day tribute). Muziek uit Zee (a two day tribute to the offshore radio stations) organized by the Dutch cable stations Okay FM and Radio Monique on 30th and 31st August 2000. Muziek uit Zee (another two day tribute to the offshore radio stations) organized by the Dutch stations Radio 192 and Radio Monique on 11th and 12th August 2001.
