M.V. Manor Park

Ships details: The Quo Vadis, a 492 ton 52 m length 8.5 m width cargo vessel, was built in Groningen/Netherlands by Gebr. Koops NV Hoogezand in 1956.  Maximum speed was 9 knots. In 1978 the ship was renamed Manor Park. In September 1979 it was found in the harbour of Sunderland. At that time it was owned by Betson Shipping Ltd and Ringsend Marine Dublin having been registered by Blond Marine Services in Dublin. The ship had a sufficient water-ballast system and a safe hull. It had been damaged by a large crane which even had affected the bridge. After the project failed in August 1980, the ship had different owners until it was converted into a floating sailing school in 1982.
